Little Funnies

This morning, Kaylen woke up at 7:30am to eat. She is a really good sleeper and goes to bed about 8pm & wakes up anywhere from 6:30-9:00am, but will go back to sleep until 9am. So when I went to get her this morning, she was sitting up in her crib waiting for me. I opened the door, and she said "BOO!" She didn't scare me, but just made me laugh. We love this little girl.

Swimming

July/Aug 2011 

We bought a swimming pass at Taylorsville pool. It was the best thing we ever did because we had so much fun! Bekah & Kaylen would go two or three times a week, while Brandon would be able to go one or two times a week. We bought a half a tent that was easy to set up and give us shade when we needed it. All was worth every penny! We sure enjoyed swimming this  year, we hope next year will be even better!

Kaylen took one swim lesson at 10 months old, she didn't like it one bit. The instructor took her away from her mom, and she didn't like that. She even got dunked and had her eyes open the whole time. Next year we will get her in more swim lessons. She loves to go swimming, but not the lesson. She is our little fish!

 Brandon's cousin got married at The Long Beach Yacht Club. It was beautiful. Thank goodness there was another baby at the wedding so we weren't the only ones. Kaylen was such a good girl during the wedding and the celebrating after words.

Brandon took the day off from work so we could celebrate his birthday, July 29th. We went swimming & out for sushi, yum! Happy Birthday Dad! We love you!

Every morning and after every nap we see Kaylen peeking through her crib, just waiting for us to come and get her. It's pretty cute! Everytime we leave the room she pokes her head to make sure we left and then falls fast to sleep.

St George June 2011

Hello to St George! We went to St George with my brother & his family (total: 6 kids & 4 adults). We had such a great time. We went swimming everyday. This was Kaylen's first time in a swimming pool. She liked the outside pool better than the inside pool. This was the longest trip away from home, 6 whole days for Kaylen and Bekah, Brandon was there for 4 days.  

We went hiking in Snow Canyon. We had to go early before it got too hot. We hiked in the sand for almost 3 miles, yuck! Have you ever tried to hike in the sand? You don't move very fast, it's hard to get your footing, but it was very nice to see the pretty views and get some exercise. We love to hike. Thank goodness for my sister-in-law who stayed at the condo with her little one, and Kaylen. We love St George!
