I think it all stated the day before, on Saturday Oct. 6th. It was General Conference weekend, while Kaylen was taking her afternoon nap, I took my time getting ready for the day. I shaved, did a conditioning treatment on my hair, gave myself a mini facial, took care of my cracked heels, & blow-dryed my hair. I think the intial day of prep had prepared myself and my body for what was going to happen the next day. But that night the Frost came over, we went out for Korean food & played games until way to late. But at 8:30 & 9:30pm I had put on a DoTerra essential oil called Clerey Sage on the bottom of my feet. They say it's suppose to induce labor. I borrowed the oil from a friend and tried it, didn't think it would actually happen.

At 6:00am I woke up with belly pain, thought I had bad Korean food. The pain happened every 10 min, but wasn't too painful, I still tried to sleep. Finally at 8:00am Kaylen & Brandon woke up. Finally!!! He said ok, lets wait and see what happens. I hoped in the bath to see if that would help with contractions, but didn't help. Kaylen just kept asking me, "Are you ok Mama?" I would talk to her in between contractions, at this time they were coming 5 min apart. Ouch! I finished packing my bag, Brandon packed his bag too. We called our friend/neighbor Chantel to watch Kaylen until my sister Stefanie could pick her up & we headed to the hospital.

Arrived at the hospital around 10:30 am, got my epidural at 11:30am. When we checked in I was dilated to a 3++ (3 1/2). The doctor broke my water at around 2:00pm and I was dilated to a 6.  At 3:45pm they said I was dilated to a 10 and it was time to start pushing. They then had to prep the room, they were gone for 30 min, who knows where they went. Finally the doctor and nurse came in and said lets do some practice pushes. We practiced and she said, "ohhhhh here he comes". They rushed to get the room ready. The doctor prepped his own table, and he had to find me a mirror so I could watch. In 15 min of pushing (which was only 3 sets of contractions) he was out. I couldn't believe my baby boy just came out. I think I blinked and he was out. I'm so happy we got to have a VBAC, it's been the best recovery! As soon as he was out, I could breathe again. Brandon said, "Wow, that was easy!" It was easy, I thought. So much easier than a c-section. Such a better experience than a c-section. The doctors are a little nervous to do VBAC's, but we had nothing for them to be nervous about. It happened perfectly & he is perfect!
