New Bed! New Room

New Bed! New Room! If you come over to our house, she wants to show you her new bed, and her new room. No matter how many times you have been here, even if you have seen it before. She wants to show you her new bed & new room. She made the transition from crib to bed so easy. She never cried at the door, she stays in her bed until we come and get her. What a good girl!
This was on the door of her old room, & it's on her door of her new room.

Brigham City Temple Open House

We were so excited to go bright & early on a Saturday morning to see the Brigham City Temple. It was beautiful inside & out. Kaylen kept saying the lights were pretty sparkles because they were crystal. She is 100% girl and loves sparkles. She won't remember walking through it, but we she was such a good girl & good experience for all of us.

Kaylen's Party!

We had a small get together for cake & cupcakes! Kaylen didn't even have one bite, but she was very busy opening presents. Happy Birthday to Kaylen! She is 2!

Jungle Jim's Birthday

The morning of Kaylen's birthday we took her to Jungle Jim's with her cousin Brielle, Grandpa, & Grandma. She loved the horsy ride. She rode it at least 5 times. It went pretty fast, we all got dizzy.

She had so much fun on all the rides, we can't believe she is 2!!

Cookie Monster Cake!

The Cookie Monster Cake! For the longest time, Bekah couldn't get an idea of what kind of party we should throw for Kaylen turning 2. Since she can't decide or really tell me what she wants, she gets what we pick. Bekah finally picked to make a cookie monster cake. It was pretty simply, just needed a lot more frosting that we had expected which meant going to the store a few more times. Kaylen loved to look at the cake, but wouldn't eat it.
It only took 1 1/2 hours to frost the cake, and frost 50 cupcakes with the help from Bekah's mom and Brandon of course.

Bekah just starting to frost the cake. It's all in the wrist.

Almost done with frosting the cake.
The cookie monster cupcakes! Brandon and Bekah's mom decorated those.
When Kaylen first saw the cake, she put her hands right in. Made Bekah scream, and she was scared and wouldn't touch it for the rest of the night. She wouldn't even eat a cupcake. She can only have Western Family cake mix that is yellow or lemon so we chose lemon. Then we made it as planned but instead of eggs we used 1/4 cup of applesauce for each egg. It was super moist. The frosting was Pillsbury fluffy white, which was safe for Kaylen, but she didn't have any of it, not even a lick! Maybe next year!
